We are super excited to share our experiences. We are an adventurous couple who enjoy travel, nature, urban exploration, nature photography, camping, and seeing as much of the world as we can. We hope to combine our love of writing, travel, and connecting with others into this blog.
Why “Cross Culture Love”?
We will be the first to admit the name is super cringe. We wanted something that combined our relationship journey (meeting internationally) and our love of traveling. Ultimately, after many agonizing minutes of thinking about it, we settled on Cross Culture Love, because nobody really cares about the title of blogs and it was better than our second choice: AnasandKateCantThinkofaTitle.com.

About Kate
My name is Katelynn, but I often go by Kate. My name is pronounced Kayte-linn but everyone in Morocco pronounces it Kat-leen for some reason, and at this point, I just go with it because the correct pronunciation seems too difficult. It’s gotten to the point I’ve started even introducing myself as Kat-leen without even realizing it!
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I spent the twelve years before moving to Morocco in the great state of Alaska. I consider Alaska “home,” and I think it will always have a piece of my heart no matter where I go or how far I stray. I moved to Morocco in the spring of 2021 to be with my husband. I’ve lived here in the Maghreb ever since.
My hobbies include reading, consuming true crime content, listening to podcasts, writing articles, learning how to cook new recipes, and traveling as often as I can. I love a strong cup of coffee, a highly recommended book, and spending time with my favorite people.
So far I’ve been to 21 countries.
About Anas
Anas is a teacher and adventurer from Morocco. Originally from Khemisset, he now lives and works with his wife and dog in Kénitra. He’s passionate about nerdy things: coding, web development, tech, soccer, fitness, and even some cool things like traveling and reading. Anas is always learning and growing as a person. He spends most of his time reading and learning about the Quran, advancing his career, reading self-development books, or working on his Youtube channel.
Anas has been to eight countries with plans on visiting many more in the near future.
