A comprehensive list of Moroccan Darija language resources 🇲🇦
We have written previously about how Moroccan Darija is pretty hard to learn. It’s a beautiful but complicated language with many influences and multiple different writing styles. While Darija is difficult to learn, it is definitely not impossible. There are not as many educational resources for Moroccan Darija as there are other languages. However, there is a growing amount of materials available online for those who seek to learn the language.
We’ve compiled those resources, including some of our favorite and most recommended Darija teachers, with links to each resource.
Note: There are a million resources out there for Modern Standard Arabic because it is significantly more widely spoken, but we are not including those here. That being said, MSA is great for learning Darija if you’d like to, but many don’t bother to learn the characters before learning Darija.
If we missed any, please contact us and we will add it ASAP!
Also, I have a women-only Whatsapp group for Moroccan Darija learners. If you’re interested and would like to be added, send me an email and I’ll add you.
